Paris - Arc de TRIOMPHE - Palais des Congrès |

Calmness and tranquility only steps away from the bustle of
the Champs Elysees and within easy reach of the Palais des Congres, the
Defense business district, Levallois and Neuilly.
The Arc de Triomphe was commissioned by Napoleon to commemorate victories
of the French armies; its construction began in 1806 but wasn't completed
until 1836. It was built on the model of ancient Roman triumphal arches,
but differs from them because of its monumental size: 50 meters tall and
45 meters wide.
