Judged the most beautiful avenue in the world with its
famous ready-to-wear and haute couture shops, its cinemas, its
restaurants and its cabarets.
At both ends, trying to outdo each other in beauty, the Place de
l'Etoile and the Place de la Concorde.
The stunning art nouveau Petit Palais and Grand Palais were built on the
occasion of the 1900 Universal International Exhibition.
The outstanding perspective stretching from the Louvre palace to the
Grande Arche de la Defense on a line that goes through the Tuileries
Garden.

On both sides of the Seine, at the foot of the Eiffel
Tower, immense and majestic palaces, impressive perspectives and former
private mansions turned into ministries
The Invalides is without doubt one of Paris most beautiful building
schemes. It includes the Hotel des Invalides, commissioned by Louis XIV as
a home for disabled war veterans, the Eglise du Dome with Napoleon's tomb
and one of the richest army museums worldwide.
The Eiffel tower conceived by Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the 1889
Universal International Exhibition, prone to controversy and admiration at
the same time, and which has now become the symbol of Paris.
The new Quai Branly Museum devoted to primitive art, notably to African,
Oceanic, Asian and American civilisations. The museum displays a fabulous
collection of 300 000 objects, sculptures, fabrics, statues and jewels. A
very special place with an unseen architecture, all about transparency and
designed by Jean Nouvel.
Enjoy a drink in the Musee Rodin's quiet sculpture garden after having
seen the sculptures as well as the artist's personal collection including
over 7000 drawings and paintings, some by Monet, Van Gogh, etc.
