Hi John.
I finally connected with Neil, the teacher
who accompanied my high school group to Normandy. In his words, the
tour was "awesome!" The driver was wonderful and he and the guide got
along and worked together very well. They seemed to like our group too
and said they were so pleased to have a group that was so respectful
and well-behaved. He said everything went beautifully and they all had
a great time. Thanks, as always, for making such great arrangements!

"Just a short note to
thank-you for our trip to Normandy. It was the highlight of our trip
to France...everything and more you said it would be. We wouldn't
hesitate to use and recommend Paris Plus again.
Thank -you!"

...in respect
At a time when some medias would let Americans believe
that the French are not grateful for the sacrifice of their soldiers who
liberated France in 1944, we would like to tell you about the actions of
some French people: "Fleurs de la Mémoire" or "Flowers for
the souvenir" is an association of people from all over France (but
mostly from Normandy as the association was created there); who promised
in writing, to lay fresh cut flowers on one or more graves in the 2
Americans cemeteries located on Normandy soil, at least once a year. This
action is passed on from the parents to the children. Have a look at
their website:
http://fleursdelamemoire.free.fr
to find out more about it.

An example: Danielle,
born on July 31st 1944 has asked to put flowers on the grave of a soldier
who died on the day she was born.
As soon as she received notification of who "her soldier" was, she went
to visit his grave; "It was an emotional moment, I took my son with me
and now we wish we would know more about Herbert Norton from New Jersey,
as we adopted him and he is now part of our deceased family now!"
